Frustrated to convinced in 36 seconds
Project Brief
Cleva is a fintech platform built for freelancers and global workers who are tired of losing money to bad rates, long waits, and hidden fees. The goal was to create a motion design explainer that introduced the app, communicated its core value, and made the audience feel like Cleva was built specifically for their frustration.
The Approach
This was a fully self directed project. I wrote the script from scratch, opening with the problem the audience already feels, then positioning Cleva as the answer. Once the script was locked I created the voiceover, giving the video a grounded, conversational tone that matched the brand's straightforward promise.
The Process
The project moved through four stages:
Script & Voiceover → Written and generated. The narrative was built around a real pain point, slow payments, bad rates, no card, before introducing Cleva as the fix.

Storyboard → Visual planning in Illustrator, mapping every scene to match the script beat by beat before animation began.

Animation → Brought the storyboard to life in After Effects, building motion that matched the energy of the script.

Sound → Finished in Premiere Pro with SFX and music to give the final film its full cinematic feel.

The Result
A punchy, brand aligned explainer, scripted, voiced, and animated, that takes a viewer from frustrated to convinced in under 36 seconds.
