Project Brief
GoDark is a decentralised dark pool trading platform built for serious traders who need to move big without being seen. Every day traders lose money to price spikes, slippage, and bots tracking their every move. GoDark solves that by executing trades quietly in the background, no market movement, no bot alerts, no unnecessary losses. Just smooth, controlled execution. The goal was to create a motion design explainer that made that promise feel as powerful as it is.
The Approach
script first, storyboard second, animation last. I wrote the script around the trader's pain point, building tension in the opening before introducing GoDark as the institutional grade solution. The visual language needed to feel dark, premium, and technical, green and black, sharp UI mockups animations to match the urgency of the trading world.
The Process
Script → Written from scratch, opening with the problem every trader knows, slippage, bots, exposure, then positioning GoDark as the platform that eliminates all of it.

Storyboard → Mapped out in Illustrator across 16 frames, scene by scene, using the platform's actual UI and brand colours to keep every frame on brand before animation began.

Animation → Built in After Effects, combining UI mockups, text reveals, and motion graphics to guide the viewer from problem to solution in one tight, cinematic sequence.

Sound → Finished in Premiere Pro with SFX and music that matched the dark, high-stakes energy of the brand.
The Result
A cinematic, high stakes explainer that makes GoDark feel like the platform serious traders have been waiting for.
